On November 16th, CoLAB BIOREF was present at the CoLABs Annual Meeting, in a simultaneous event with the annual meetings of CTI and TTO, and the final of the national BfK Ideas contest held at Pavilhão do Conhecimento, in Lisbon.

Under the motto "Innovation and Technological Valorization towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)", the CoLABs Annual Meeting brought together once again representatives of the various collaborative laboratories at the national level to discuss the main challenges and most urgent issues of the current time, putting innovation and knowledge at the service of society. For CoLAB BIOREF, the meeting was another moment to share good practices and exchange experiences to grow the organisation's activities and strengthen partnerships and collaborations at a national level.

At this event, the Annual Report of the CoLABs was also presented, which reinforced the importance of these collaborative centers for research and innovation in Portugal, as demonstrated by the aggregate results of recent years in terms of value creation and highly qualified employment (sales volume of 8 M€, from 2019 to 2022 and 639 highly qualified staff hired, 32% of which are PhDs, by December 2021).
